Congratulations to our client Van Goth (Toronto, ON) for being part of the sixth season of Canada’s Drag Race! We had the amazing opportunity to make her two looks for the show early this year. After keeping the secret all year, the season finally debuted this week and we are excited that the first episode showcased our first look!

This head to toe look was made with the girl group challenge in mind. Van Goth wanted something neon and easy to dance in (yes she’s one of those queens that can do flips, dips, and splits in a corset!). I went with a bright yellow, neon pink pleather and deep blue organza shrug, bullet bra and underbust with thigh high boots. A bra and underbust corset is always my suggestion for dance costumes cause you get more flexibility in the chest and ribs. The highlight of the costume is the liquid organza I used for the deep blue that gives the costume a really cool sheen. and additions of transparent pink vinyl accents in the strapping, hips and top of boots. I was excited that she wanted to order my signature bullet bra, this is the first time a queen got to showcase my bra style on the show!

Van did incredible in the challenge and ended up winning the episode, which ended with an epic lip-sync battle with host Brooke Lynn Heights. Crossing our fingers that Van makes it through far! Especially to showcase our second look ;)
